Pattern 1925 RAF Blue-Grey Web Rifle Equipment
This Pattern 1925 Rifle Equipment is in the RAF blue-grey color. Note that the horizontal equipment straps on the upper rucksack are shown on the outside of the flap. This is for illustration purposes only. Unless the straps are being used to attach additional equipment (such as a helmet, shovel, etc.), the flap is closed over them for ease of access.
Pattern 1925 RAF Khaki Web Rifle Equipment
This Rifle Equipment set of W.E. Patt. '25, in khaki webbing, is from the Chris Pollendine Collection. The Rucksack, bottom part, and its Kicking strap are missing. All of the pieces are either unmarked or maker marked "M.E. Co." and dated 1927. All photographs © Chris Pollendine 2010.
