Fitting Instructions for Patt. '40 were provided in Web Equipment Cavalry Pattern 1940, publication no. 54/Cavalry/2806, published under the direction of the Army Council. This document is difficult to find. The first copy Karkee was able to locate and post was a VERY poor nth generation photocopy, and incomplete to boot. Now, through the generosity of Carl Woods, who has been a strong Karkee Web supporter since the beginning, we can proudly present a complete, high quality copy of the entire booklet.
