30th December 2009 - Added a new Karkee Web Special feature called Soldiers Three: Landi Kotal, 1935.

29th December 2009 - Made some corrections to the Harness, carrying, infantry entry on the Associated Equipment, Slung Over, W.E. Patt. '37 page. Added another original photo of the Patt. '44 Haversack in use to the W.E. Patt. '44 Haversacks and Rucksack page.

28th December 2009 - Karkee Web's First Anniversary! To celebrate we've just uploaded Rog Dennis's latest tour de force - a new section on Web Equipment, Pattern 1944!

26th December 2009 - We've just received our first comments on that web Patt. '14 Intrenching tool carrier.

25th December 2009 - Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas to all from the Karkee Web Team.

24th December 2009 - Loaded photos of what appears to be a Patt. '14 Intrenching tool carrier, but with a web bag! Have a look at the I.E. Patt. '14 Equipment Carrier page, and judge for yourself whether or not it's the real thing. Loaded a very interesting set of Provisional Fitting Instructions, in Italian, for the Italian version of Web Equipment, Pattern 1937.

23rd December 2009 - Loaded the first instalment of a new section on Non-Patterned Equipment. Much more to come - soon!

17th December 2009 - Corrected an error in the write-up for the "Chinese Contract" Browning holster on the W.E. Patt. '37 Associated Equipment - Attached page.

13th October 2009 - Added new pictures of a 1927 dated Patt. '25 Carrier, Magazine, pistol.

7th October 2009 - Received an interesting email and photo that suggests that we've got it backwards on conversion we've just listed, and that it's actually a conversion of a Large Box Respirator Haversack into a Haversack, other services. Based on the photos, this might well be correct. See the pictures and judge for yourself on the W.E. Patt. '08 Haversacks page.

6th October 2009 - Added a new page to the Contributors' Collections section, this one highlighting items from Gus Bryngelson's Collection. One of the things we are working on is a fairly major revision of several sections, in which we are moving some of the things we are now referring to as "Associated" with a particular pattern, even though they are not part of that pattern, to a planned new section on "Non Patterned Webbing". A good example of this is the Haversack, other services. This is specifically NOT Pattern 1908, but because collectors have habitually referred to it as "Mounted Pattern 1908", we currently have it on the Patt. '08 Haversacks page. Eventually it will be relocated to the new section. However, we've just received photos and details of an interesting conversion of a Haversack, o.s., into a gas mask bag, and we don't want to wait to make them available. See the new pics and info on the W.E. Patt. '08 Haversacks page.

5th October 2009 - Still more revised text and new pictures added to Chris Pollendine's page in the Contributors' Collections section. Be sure and scroll right to the bottom for an entire new entry.

4th July 2009 - At long last, Rog Dennis's magnum opus on Web Equipment, Pattern 1937 is on-line. Phase I, which deals with khaki production of the major British manufacturers, is available now. Phase I will continue to expand in this way, as readers' information is received on other U.K. manufacturers.
