28th December 2010 - OUR SECOND ANNIVERSARY! Added a new section on Leather Infantry Equipment, Pattern 1939. Added a new variation of the Patt. '08 Haversack to the Pattern 1908 Haversacks page.

5th December 2010 - Uploaded a major upgrade to the Web Equipment, Pattern 1908, Officers. It's now a complete KW section, instead of just the single page we had before. This is what Rog & I intended it to be all along, but time pressure and trans-Atlantic miscommunication has delayed the full upload until now.

One of the best things about Karkee Web is that our readers are continually supplying us with new information. This can be very exciting, when something new and unexpected turns up. Occasionally, that new and unexpected info shows that we've got something wrong, and that's exactly what's happened today. We've temporarily deleted most of what we said on the Web Equipment Patt. '08, Officers page, and will be replacing it soon with new and (hopefully!) more accurate data. This is how we hoped KW would work.

27th August 2010 - Finally! We've added the promised new section on Web Equipment, Infantry Officers. This is the one you've been waiting for: the first detailed information ever published on the 1919-1940 Mills Equipment Company's private purchase equipment for army officers.

26th August 2010 - New information has led to a modification to the Case, pistol, Automatic, Type 1 entry on the Thresher Leather-drill Sam Browne Equipment Carriers page.

Added the only photo we've found of Web Equipment, Officers (Experimental), in use during the Great War to the W.E.O. (Exp.) Introduction page. 16th August 2010 - Added excerpts from Chapter 7 of the Field Service Pocket Book (1914) to the Fitting Instructions pages for B.E., Patt. 1903; W.E., Patt. 1908; and Sam Browne Belt sections.

5th August 2010 - Our new Officers' Equipment section has only been up one day, and already we have a very important addition. We are adding new information to the W.E., Officers, Model of 1910 Introduction, including what is almost certainly the first photograph of this equipment to be published in 100 years! Added Dress Regulations 1900, Plate 63 and Appendices IX and X to the Sam Browne List of Changes and Other Official Documentation page.

4th August 2010 - Today, the 96th anniversary of the beginning of WWI, Karkee Web, in our largest addition ever, introduces TWELVE new patterns, including Sam Browne Belts; Sam Browne "Subdued" Trade Patterns Types A, B, C, and D; and Thresher Leather Drill Sam Browne. Also included are the various patterns of Officers' Web Equipment: Web Equipment, Officers, Model of 1910; W.E. Patt. '08, Officers; W.E., Officers, Experimental (1916-18); W.E., Officers, with Brass Fittings; W.E. Officers (post 1918); and W.E., Officers, R.A.F..
